With extensive experience and knowledge in the public sector, multinationals, and domestic corporations for having managed and participated in:
– Business and project development and management.
– Structuring and implementation of corporate strategies.
– Negotiation of commercial, business, and shareholders agreements, strategic alliances JVs.
– Corporate restructuring and reengineering processes. Investment banking, including mergers and acquisitions.
– Development of business cases, transactions, and programs for corporate financing and investment projects, leverage and management buyouts, and financing of international trade with export
credit organizations.
– Local and international capital market transactions, including sovereign debt.
For more than 17 years (since 2004), Frank Llibre was Senior Vice President of Grupo PUNTACANA (GPC) with responsibilities in the areas of administration and finance, reporting to the President of the Group. Advised (2004-2021) the President and the Board of Directors on the competitiveness of the Group, its corporate strategy, capital structure, and value and risk management. Supported by the management team, he coordinated boards of directors and shareholders’ meetings. GPC is one of the largest conglomerates in the Dominican Republic with more than 20 subsidiaries, including four business divisions: Airport, Real Estate, Hospitality, Energy, and Services.
Frank Llibre was also Senior Vice President of Citibank, where he led the Corporate and Investment Banking businesses. For more than 10 years (1993 – 2004), providing world-class solutions to national and multinational clients in the Dominican Republic. Before joining Citibank, Frank Llibre was a Senior Economist at the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (1990 – 1994) in the Departments of Economic Research and Monetary and Fiscal Programming. He also participated in the academy as a professor of Strategy and Corporate Finance in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Corporate Finance Programs of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), as well as a member of its Academic Council. He has published articles on corporate strategy, M&A, and capital markets.
Frank Llibre holds a Master of Business Administration (MSBA) Mention in International Business from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, postgraduate studies in Economic Development
from New York University at Buffalo, and is an Economist (Summa Cum Laude) from the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC).
